22 FLEET MANAGEMENT HELPING PUBLIC SECTOR ORGANISATIONS DELIVER FLEET COST VISIBILITY Public sector organisations are increasingly seeking to deliver cost visibility over their fleet operations, says fleet management software specialist Chevin Fleet Solutions. “What we are seeing is a growing desire to achieve high levels of cost visibility in order to show that genuine value for money is being delivered.” Despite some strong economic growth forecasts for 2014, cost pressures remain high on organisations such as city councils, state government departments and federal government agencies. Key areas of cost visibility that are receiving increased levels of attention include utilisation, whole life costs, purchasing and disposal, pool fleet management and short term hire.
