The move to the new ICC also
means that the 2017 event will be
able to open up new channels to
explore the feverish expansion of
the Sydney skyline and public
infrastructure through
comprehensive content and
educational partnerships.
Sydney’s revitalised Darling Harbour
precinct will play host to Australia’s
largest annual gathering of architects,
designers, building specialists,
construction experts, manufacturers
and suppliers when DesignBUILD
returns to Sydney next 3-5 May.
Over the past few years,
DesignBUILD has firmly established
itself as an industry nexus,
leveraging partnerships with peak
industry bodies and new industry
alliances to deliver an event that is
a true reflection of what industry
collaboration can do.
For the first time, DesignBUILD will
co-locate with long-term partner, the
Australian Institute of Architecture’s
National Conference. The event will
also welcome first time partner, the
Planning Institute of Australia, who
will also be co-locating their own
National Conference, creating an
architectural and planning hub at the
new International Convention Centre
(ICC), Sydney.

Sydney launch of DesignBUILD RAW

collaborations, Mead reflected that
DesignBUILD is a true realisation of
what industry collaboration can do.

of the AIA and PIA’s National
Conferences ensures that we can
continue to champion innovation

DesignBUILD will return to Sydney
in 2017 at the brand new
International Convention Centre,
Sydney, on 3 – 5 May. The 2017
event is already set to be 20% larger
than previous year and 40% larger
than the award winning 2015 event,
the last event held in Sydney.
