Mark Siebentritt
Edge Life Cycle Analysis , Grand Stage , Wednesday , 12 noon Mark Siebentritt ’ s career spans over 20 years in the sustainability services sector . He leads Edge ’ s development of tools and products and also works in the business on Climate Change Risk and Advisory . His focus is on bringing together rigorous technical information and engagement processes to support improved decision making . Mark has over 14 years ’ experience in environmental consultancy , firstly in his own businesses ( Mark Siebentritt & Associates , Seed Consulting ) and now with Edge Environment . He has delivered over 80 climate change projects in the past 5 years . Mark is also a Non-Executive Director with AgTech company Airborne Logic .
Sarah Day
Edge Life Cycle Analysis , Grand Stage , Wednesday , 12 noon Sarah Day is a strategy and agriculture expert at Edge . Prior to joining Edge , Sarah was responsible for establishing sustainability as a key pillar at AACo , Australia ’ s largest beef producer . In this role , Sarah delivered the Company ’ s first sustainability report , the Company ’ s first sustainability strategy , convened the first Animal Health & Welfare Committee and delivered their first carbon abatement project . Sarah brings her skills in project management , major project consultancy and law to her role at Edge and is driven by achieving positive outcomes for clients in the agricultural sector who engage in sustainability thinking .
Michael Waring
International Nut and Dried Fruit Foundation Global Nut Snapshot , Grand Stage , Wednesday , 9.45am Michael is Chairman of the International Nut and Dried Fruit Foundation ( INC ). INC is the international source for information on Nuts and Dried Fruits for Health , Nutrition , Statistics , Food Safety , Government Standards and Regulations regarding Trade Barriers and Agricultural Quality Standards . INC has recently created an all of industry Sustainability Manifesto under its Sustainability Committee . Michael is also the current Chair and a founding member of ‘ Nuts for Life Australia ’, with Hort Innovation , an all of Australian Industry nutrition and health education initiative . Michael works with his business partners and brothers Andrew and Christopher Waring , and is Chairman and Managing Director of MWT Foods Australia and the Waring Group of companies ( est 1965 ) which has industry investments in Australia , Vietnam and USA . He is chairman of MWT Foods USA and Laurel Foods USA ( based in Oregon ). He is a former deputy chairman of the Australian Macadamia Society ( AMS ) board , currently serving on that bodies Marketing Committee ( former Chair ).
Danny le Feuvre
Australian Honey Bee Industry Council Bees and Pollination - A Varroa Update , Wednesday , Grand Stage , 11.30am CEO of the Australian Honey Bee Industry Council ( AHBIC ), Danny has been involved in the recent Varroa incursion in NSW . A current non-excutive director of AgriFutures Australia and is passionate about rural industries and in particular the honey bee industry . He has been a commercial beekeeper for 15 years with Australian Bee Services ( ABS ) and is experienced in providing pollination services and honey production in South Australia . Danny has been involved in the primary industries his whole career with a strong background in agricultural science , RD & E and agribusiness consultancy . He has previously volunteered in many industry roles over the years . Previously an executive member of Australian Honey Bee Industry Council ( AHBIC ) and a member of the Hort Innovation Expert Advisory Panel . Danny holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Melbourne University , Masters of Agribuisness from the University of Adelaide and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors ( GAICD ).
