DAY 1 Nelson / Awaroa
Drive through the orchards and vineyards lining the highway as you head to Motueka and Kaiteriteri . Here , board a cruise vessel and travel the length of the golden Abel Tasman coast to Totaranui . On arrival , walk through mature native forest and along secluded beaches to the breathtaking expanse of Awaroa Inlet ( approximate walk 4.3 miles ).
DAY 2 Awaroa / Torrent Bay
Begin with a scenic walk to Onetahuti , which has a beautiful boardwalk and bridge . Before climbing the low saddle out of Onetahuti , explore Tonga Quarry , then descend to Bark Bay via the waterfall trail , viewing the cascade from a sturdy swing bridge . Later , follow the track as it winds through verdant gullies of mature beech forest , fern grottoes and groves of fragrant manuka framing coastal vistas . Continue to Torrent Bay ( approximate walk 12 miles ).

DAY 3 Torrent Bay / Nelson
Tides determine whether you walk around the inlet or take the fun short-cut across it to the main track . After lunch at a sheltered beach continue to Marahau , where the track finishes . Here , your driver meets you for the transfer back to Nelson via Kaiteriteri and Motueka ( approximate walk 8-10 miles ).

DAY 1 Te Anau or Queenstown / Doubtful Sound
Transfer to Manapouri for a 50 minute scenic cruise across Lake Manapouri to West Arm . A coach then takes you over Wilmot Pass for your first breathtaking view of Doubtful Sound . At Deep Cove , board your cruise vessel and start your voyage through some of New Zealand ’ s most stunning scenery . Later , after dropping anchor in a sheltered cove , you can choose to explore the shoreline by kayak or tender boat , or simply relax onboard and keep watch for marine mammals whilst savouring the spectacular scenery . Later , feast on dinner and , if the skies are clear , spend some time gazing at the stars .
DAY 2 Doubtful Sound / Te Anau or Queenstown
After breakfast , explore the other arms of the fiord before cruising back to Deep Cove . Disembark for the return journey back to Te Anau or Queenstown .

DAY 1 Te Anau or Queenstown / Milford Sound
Transfer to Milford Sound Wharf for a late afternoon departure . The onboard specialist nature guide will explain the history and geology of the area and be on hand to answer your questions . The cruise style is relaxed , so there is ample time to view the fiord ’ s spectacular waterfalls , rainforest , mountains and wildlife . After anchoring in a sheltered cove you have the option to explore in the vessel ’ s tender craft ( small boat ) or , if you prefer , by kayak . Alternatively , you can simply relax on deck and soak up the beauty of this amazing place . As evening falls , tuck into a delicious carvery buffet before indulging in some star gazing or simply retiring to your cabin .
DAY 2 Milford Sound / Te Anau or Queenstown
After breakfast , head out to the Tasman Sea ( weather permitting ) and explore more of the fiord before you disembark for the return journey back to Te Anau or Queenstown .
