DAY 1 Fly to Launceston
DAY 2 Launceston
On arrival transfer to your hotel . Later , visit the gold mining town of Beaconsfield and take a guided tour of the Mine & Heritage Centre . Return to Launceston and this evening ’ s welcome dinner is an ideal opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers
DAY 3 Launceston / Bicheno
Drive through northern Tasmania ’ s wine-producing area en route to Bridestowe Lavendar Estate . Here , there ’ s a guided tour of the distillery and a chance to sample the unique lavendar-inspired fare . Continue to the seaside town of Bicheno where you have the option to join a Penguin Tour ( extra expense ).
DAY 4 Bicheno / Orford
Travel into Freycinet National Park , which is home to pristine beaches , rugged landscapes and granite peaks . A guided walk with a naturalist gives you the chance to really discover the park ’ s breathtaking natural beauty .
DAY 5 Orford / Hobart
Journey to Richmond , home to the historic Richmond Bridge , which was built by convicts in the 1820s . On the way to Port Arthur , see how nature and time have created spectacular rock formations such as the Tessellated Pavement and Tasman Arch . At Port Arthur Historic Site , join a cruise around the Isle of the Dead and hear haunting stories about the convicts buried there . Afterwards , see Tasmanian devils up close at the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo . Later , travel to Hobart , which may be small but sure packs a punch with an endless supply of dining , cultural and nature-based experiences .
DAY 6 Hobart
Take in the fascinating array of art , handicrafts , food and oddities at the Salamanca Market . Housing over 300 stalls , the market has plenty of goods on offer , from tantalising Tasmanian gin to hand-crafted jewellery . There ’ s also the option to take an optional Bruny Island Adventure Experience ( extra expense ).

DAY 7 Hobart / Strahan
Russell Falls is a jewel in the crown of Mt Field National Park and , after a short walk to see the falls , you can marvel at the pristine shores of Lake St Clair . Travel onwards to the town of Strahan where you can look forward to a buffet dinner at View 42 º Restaurant & Bar with your fellow travellers .
DAY 8 Strahan / Cradle Mountain
Board the environmentally-friendly Spirit of the Wild ship for a cruise across the Macquarie Harbour , and enter World Heritage-listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park . Continue to the former penal colony of Sarah Island for a tour before travelling onward through stirring landscapes to Cradle Mountain .
DAY 9 Cradle Mountain / Smithton
Take in the serenity of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park . Visit Waldheim Chalet and stand on the shores of Dove Lake before travelling via Sheffield to Stanley , set in the shadow of The Nut . This evening ’ s dinner at Tall Timbers features seasonal produce so is sure to be a treat .
DAY 10 Smithton / Launceston
Sample some of Tasmania ’ s finest chocolate delights during a special tour at the House of Anvers . Journey onwards to the Great Lake , then continue to Launceston for a farewell dinner with your new found friends .
DAY 11 Launceston
Visit Cataract Gorge , a unique natural formation only a stone ’ s throw from Launceston before your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport .
