DAY 1 Brisbane / Moreton Island
Make your way to the Tangalooma Wharf on Holt Street in Brisbane for the boat transfer across to Moreton Island ( 75 minutes ). Transfer to the Tangalooma Island Resort and once settled in , the rest of the day is yours . Moreton is the world ’ s third largest sand island and home to amazing natural flora and fauna , so switch yourself to island time and get ready for adventure , discovery and more than a little fun . A highlight of any visit is the opportunity to hand feed one of the wild bottlenose dolphins that visit the shores each evening at sunset .
DAY 2 Moreton Island
At leisure to indulge in the resort activities , many of which are complimentary , including tennis , squash , pelican feeding , Old Whaling Station tours , kookaburra feeding and learning all about the Tangalooma wild dolphins . Additional water and land based options are available at a supplement , such as kayak tours , marine discovery cruises , parasailing , sea scooter safaris , snorkelling the famed Tangalooma wrecks , quad bike tours , helicopter scenic flights and segway beach tours to name but a few . Perhaps drop into the Tangalooma Marine Education & Conservation Centre to learn more about the wild dolphins and other marine wildlife .
DAY 3 Moreton Island / Brisbane
If time allows , make the most of the activities on offer before you transfer back to Brisbane by ferry , where your tour concludes upon arrival .

DAY 1 Brisbane / Fraser Island
Collect your hire car and head to Hervey Bay for your ferry crossing to Fraser Island ( approximately 50 minutes ), the largest sand island in the world located on the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef . On arrival head to the Kingfisher Bay Resort where the remainder of the day is free . Perhaps take a stroll down to the idyllic white sand beach where you can sit and watch a spectacular sunset . When it comes to dining this evening , the chefs at the resort draw their inspiration from the island ’ s traditional owners - the Butchulla people - and turn out exquisite dishes that reflect Aussie bush heritage with a hint of Fraser Island .
DAY 2 Fraser Island
A full day of adventure is ahead as you join a Beauty Spots Tour with an expert ranger , all from the air-conditioned comfort of a customdesigned 4WD coach . Highlights of the tour include gorgeous Lake McKenzie , Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek , Pile Valley ’ s awe-inspiring Satinay and Brush Box forests , 75 Mile Beach ’ s famous highway , the Maheno shipwreck , the coloured sands of The Pinnacles , and the relaxing fresh waters of Eli Creek . Be sure to pack your sunscreen and swimwear as you ’ ll have the opportunity to take a dip along the way .
DAY 3 Fraser Island / Brisbane
At leisure before the return ferry to Hervey Bay where you then drive on to Brisbane where the tour concludes as you return your car . Alternatively , why not extend your journey and carry on up Australia ’ s east coast ?
