DAY 5 Perth / Indian Pacific train
Make your way to the station for a mid-morning departure . Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley . Sit back for the afternoon before dinner and late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie .
DAY 6 Indian Pacific train
Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise . Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now ghost town – of Cook . Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world and then savour another mouthwatering dinner .
DAY 7 Indian Pacific train
On arrival in Adelaide you have the choice of a walking tour ( seasonal ), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world famous Adelaide Oval , or a coach tour of the city sights .
DAY 8 Indian Pacific train / Sydney
Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains . See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before completing your journey on a chartered NSW rail service ( fully hosted by Indian Pacific staff ) into Sydney Central Station . Alternatively , stay on board the Indian Pacific to travel directly to Sydney . On arrival make your way to your hotel .

DAYS 9-10 Sydney
Two days free for you to take in the sights . The must-visit icons of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House are sure to be on your go-to list , while the beaches of Bondi and Manly may also appeal . The city also brims with museums and galleries , fascinating neighbourhoods , superb shopping , rooftop bars and amazing eateries .
DAY 11 Sydney / Hamilton Island
Make your way to the airport for your flight to Hamilton Island , regarded as one of Australia ’ s most desirable holiday destinations . It is the largest island in the idyllic Whitsundays so you can expect white sands , green palms and a coral reef on your doorstep . On arrival a transfer is included to your hotel .
DAYS 12-14 Hamilton Island
At leisure to soak up the remarkable beauty both above and beneath the water . Your resort includes a variety of watersports which is ideal if you fancy getting out on the waves . A variety of pre-bookable day trips to the Great Barrier Reef are also available ( see page 50 for details ), and are highly recommended .
DAY 15 Hamilton Island
Enjoy the last rays of the sun before you transfer to the airport where you tour concludes with your onward journey .
