DAY 1 Fly to Sydney
DAY 2 Sydney
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel . The remainder of the day is free to relax or perhaps begin your sightseeing .
DAY 3 Sydney
At leisure to delve into the city . To start , we suggest you head to Darling Harbour for impressive views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge or , perhaps take the ferry to Manly and see this bustling seaside town . You may also like to pre-book a sightseeing tour ; see page 32 for our selection of excursions .
DAY 4 Sydney
A full day touring spectacular Blue Mountains National Park . The first stop is Calmsley Hill , a working farm based attraction set in fabulous bush surrounds near the heart of Sydney and involved in animal rehabilitation . Continue to the Blue Mountains and begin with the stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley , then Eaglehawk Lookout to see the famous Three Sisters . After lunch , visit further lookouts including Govett ’ s Leap where the magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 590 feet to the base of the cliff . Finally , stop at the Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens before travelling back to your hotel .
DAY 5 Sydney
A further full day for you to sightsee and shop as you please . Perhaps head to Bondi Beach where you can laze on the sands or even try your hand at surfing .
DAY 6 Sydney / Uluru
At leisure before transferring to the airport for your flight north . On arrival , transfer to your hotel .
DAY 7 Uluru
Rise early and transfer to the Uluru Sunrise viewing platform which gives an incredible view through the dunes and stunning desert landscape as the sun rises over Uluru and Kata Tjuta a spectacle that is sure to live long in the memory . The tour continues to Kata Tjuta ( the Olgas ) where you stop at a viewing point for equally impressive vistas . Finally , enjoy a guided walk through Walpa Gorge whilst learning about the local flora , fauna and geology . The remainder of the day is at leisure .
DAY 8 Uluru / Cairns
At leisure before the flight to Cairns . On arrival transfer to your hotel .
DAY 9 Cairns
A wonderful day to experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef during a full day tour . Visit two premium outer reef sites and gain a deeper cultural understanding of this diverse ecosystem and Indigenous heritage thanks to the accompanying guides . There ’ s ample time to don a snorkel and see the vivid colours and myriad marine life .
DAYS 10-11 Cairns
At leisure . This modern , laid back city boasts a swimming lagoon , busy marina , beachfront and alfresco dining , as well as a promenade with coffee shops and restaurants catering to all budgets and tastes .
DAY 12 Cairns
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey , or why not extend your stay ?
