DAY 1 Picton / Endeavour Inlet
Take the water taxi to Ship Cove where your walk beings , This scenic and historic reserve was a favourite anchorage for Captain Cook during his explorations in the 1770s . Today is regarded as the premier section of the track .
DAY 2 Endeavour Inlet / Mahana Lodge
Today ’ s coastal walk takes through mostly regenerating native bush to the call of native birds . Follow the main track onwards and into Big Bay where pristine native beech forest awaits before you work towards Camp Bay .
DAY 3 Mahana Lodge / Picton
It ’ s a challenging day walking on the ridgeline between Mahana Lodge and Torea Saddle near Portage . Your reward is truly grand vistas at almost every turn . At Torea Bay you are collected and return to Picton .

DAY 1 Te Anau or Queenstown / Doubtful Sound
Transfer to Manapouri for a 50 minute scenic cruise across Lake Manapouri to West Arm . Travel on by bus over Wilmot Pass for your first breathtaking view of Doubtful Sound . Board the Southern Secret at around noon and enjoy lunch as you depart and begin to explore the environs of Doubtful Sound . Keep your eyes peeled for marine mammals and just savour the spectacular scenery . Feast on dinner as the vessel is at anchor .
DAY 2 Doubtful Sound / Te Anau or Queenstown
After a light breakfast , enjoy a leisurely cruise back towards Deep Cove and from there you disembark for the return journey back to Te Anau or Queenstown .

DAY 1 Te Anau or Queenstown / Milford Sound
Transfer to Milford Sound Wharf for a late afternoon departure . The onboard specialist nature guide will explain the history and geology of the area and be on hand to answer your questions . There is time to view the spectacular waterfalls , rainforest , mountains and wildlife . After anchoring in a sheltered cove you have the option to explore in the vessel ’ s tender craft ( small boat ) or , if you prefer , by kayak . Alternatively , you can simply relax on deck and soak up the beauty of this amazing place . As evening falls , tuck into a delicious carvery buffet before indulging in some star gazing or simply retiring to your cabin .
DAY 2 Milford Sound / Te Anau or Queenstown
After breakfast , head out to the Tasman Sea ( weather permitting ) and explore more of the fiord before you disembark for the return journey back to Te Anau or Queenstown .
