On Nov. 5, the Aurora City Council
approved the appointment of lifelong
Aurora resident Kristina “Tina” Bohman
to the vacant Ward One seat.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity.
It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,”
Bohman said. “I love Aurora and I look
forward to working with residents and
the ward committee to continue to move
forward on issues from economic growth
along the Farnsworth corridor to working
with the city and other entities on flooding
prevention to maintaining and expanding
the ward committee structure to ensure all
the First Ward’s voices are heard.”
Bohman has devoted two decades to the
North East Neighbors, where she helped
implement a neighborhood patrol and
sewer infrastructure upgrades. She also
helped found the First Ward Committee,
where she has worked to engage
residents, construct the ward budget, and
prioritize improvements.
Previously, Bohman worked to promote
Aurora Police programs, such as “National
Night Out,” and is a past president of the
Citizens Police Academy. She is a current
member of the Fox Valley Pa
