General Manager
Dear Members of California Country Club,
We have endured the most troubling months in the lifetimes
of many of us. This has been unlike anything any of us have
ever experienced, and this club has continued to provide the
highest quality golf and food and beverage experience possible
throughout this difficult time. We owe this success to you,
our members. The gratitude we have for you and your loyal
support is beyond words. Throughout this time, we have seen
the lowest attrition since the opening of the club in 1956. In fact,
our new membership acquisitions are on a six-year high as well.
With this continued momentum, we were able to reopen the
clubhouse on July 1. The showers and saunas remain closed, but
this has been one major step forward for us as a club, and we are
optimistic that this progress will continue at a steady pace over
the next few months. Our department heads, Maryann Ramm,
James Kim, and Leo Carrera have been working overtime to
ensure the safety of our members and our employees alike. I’m
sure their efforts have not gone unnoticed, but with this, there
have been many inconveniences imposed on our members
and guests. We’d like to thank you all again for the abundance
of patience, understanding, and loyalty you have exhibited
throughout these trying times. This has all demonstrated one
thing to us as a club, and it is that our member base is amazing.
Our members are stronger, and more resilient, considerate, and
supportive, than anyone would have imagined. Thank you for
proving what we’d always suspected. You are all to be highly
commended. We’re looking forward to the day when we can get
everyone together and celebrate.
