5) Have you ever worked in a spiritualist church?
Yes, just once. I went on platform with John Healey in Oxford. I found it a bit difficult
to
work that way, as I am a pagan and am slightly uncomfortable with the overtly
Christian references. I did get a link however, just the one. It was very detailed and
I picked up all the information in the meditation room beforehand.
6)You have extensive media background what made you come away
from that to work with spirit?
The spiritual path picks you, not the other way around. I originally started working
professionally as a psychic when I was 18 and still at film school. Then I was head
hunted to work in a psychic centre called Merlin's 8 in Soho with two lovely gifted
spiritual people Ernie James and Marlene Sibley. They were wonderful connections in
my life and I worked with them for 10 years whilst also at Film college and working
my first jobs in the commercials industry. There have been times when I have put
down my cards and concentrated on my media work, such as when I worked at the
BBC and other indie TV companies. The psychic work has always come back into my
life again and again and when I was asked to go in front on the camera as a TV Psychic Presenter, I felt as though this was my path, where the two worlds met.
7) You worked for psychic TV how did you find this?
I joined Psychic TV in 2006 and I loved working there in the early days, I truly loved the work, the energy and the people. I was
so happy to be a part of it. However, there were elements of that world which were not nice at all. I saw bullying, back stabbing,
drug abuse, egos rampaging out of control and much more. It was very sad and I have sought to try and understand what it was
that made some people behave the way they did. Also, having worked at the BBC and in TV professionally, it frustrated me immensely that the quality was not professional enough.
I entered the world of Psychic TV with my best friend and lost her there. She pulled away from me when she fell in love with one
of the producers, who was much younger than herself. She eventually went down in flames when she wrote a self published ebook in which she tried to assassinate my character and my career. She had betrayed our friendship extensively. I had never
known such pain, as she had been like a sister to me for 11 years.. I wasn't alone, as many lovely spiritual people were ridiculed
and attacked in the book and we can only speculate as to what drove her to it. She has since tried to make amends and come back
into my life but I politely declined. When the karma's over, it's over.
There was one manager in particular who was notorious for his mistreatment of the psychics. When he turned his attentions to me
and put me in an impossible situation, I had no choice but to leave..
8) There are so many psychics out there now that are completely different from how a lot of psychics have
been over the years e.g.: working with spirit along time before they decide to work on platform or teach?
what are your opinions on psychic working with no experience of what there really dealing with?
They are playing with fire really and hopefully they will have learned enough to at least protect themselves. As for the clients, it's
a great shame if they get a bad reading from someone who doesn't know what they're doing. I believe in working alongside psychics and mediums who have a natural gift and calling, that means they will have a history and a reputation. You can't buy that, or
learn it on a short course. It comes with time, experience and practice. Too many people see psychic work as a quick fix career
these days, they think they can just pick up a deck of cards and instantly give readings. Well, I just say 'Go ahead, truth will out'. It
will be interesting to see which ones are still in the business in a few years time.
9) You work with the Goddess energies can you tell us how you got into this?
I first connected with the Goddess in Egypt in a temple at Luxor a year after my mother died. It was Sekhmet, the lioness headed
goddess and I wore her amulet around my neck for years. Then several years later, I met people on the London pagan and occult
scene and immediately connected with the magical world. I was drawn to the Goddesses and became ordained as a Priestess within the Fellowship Of Isis and was dedicated to Sekhmet, Hecate, Erzulie and Papa Legba. I became immersed in that world, loving the culture and the opportunity to explore different traditions, work with different Goddesses from around the world and
generally develop my abilities. The FOI is an Oracular tradition, which means that the Goddess is invoked into a Priestess who delivers an oracle. It's using the same skills as mediumship, it's just that the Priestess is channelling the Goddess instead of the spirit
of a loved one.
