Paranormal
The Journey Continues…...
We hope that you enjoyed January and are now looking forward to spring; the team at SpookSavers are as we can start
to look forward to ghost hunting outdoors. However before we start venturing outside we wanted to now share with you
are third venue that we ever investigated, the very haunted Fort Amherst in Chatham.
Fort Amherst in Kent, England, was constructed in 1756 at the southern end of the Brompton lines of defence to protect
the south eastern approaches to Chatham Dockyard and the River Medway against a French invasion.
During the Napoleonic Wars the Chatham defences were
enlarged and strengthened considerably.
A maze of tunnels dug into the chalk cliffs were used to move
ammunition around the Fort and some of these tunnels are over
750m in length and depths of up to 20m.
There are many dark rooms and the corridors have an eerie feel
to them which we can only say "sets the scene" for this very
haunted location.
This location is one of SpookSavers favourite locations due to
its paranormal activity; it even has the sceptics questioning "do
ghosts really exist?" Even the most experienced ghost hunter
feels very nervous
The team were very excited about this investigation as we had many guests that evening who wanted to investigate with
us that cold September’s night in 2102.
This was a challenge for one of the lead investigators (Sarah) of
the team at SpookSavers, why you ask? After Sarah had done an
overnight investigation here she vowed never to go ghost hunting again and did not for six months after, this was due to the experiences that she had and was left white with fear!
With this in mind the team once again briefed the guests and we
then set off to see what energies we could uncover and bring out
to interact with the group.
We have to say that from start to finish the evening was jam
packed with activity, guests experienced shadows learking
around the tunnels, voices being heard, stones being thrown and
even a door being slammed right in front of everybody.
One of the highlight’s of the night was from a group of guests
who had been investigating the communication room; this room
was a focal point of the military operations during the First
