A Message
From Our
CEO
Community is at the very heart of everything we do at BetterLife.“ Strengthening the financial security of our community” isn’ t just the third pillar of our Common Bond; it’ s a deeply held promise we work to uphold every day. We honor that commitment by reinvesting in member-focused initiatives that create opportunity, build stability, and foster long-term well-being.
BetterLife’ s National Scholarship Award program is one of the stand-out ways we go beyond traditional insurance. More than just supporting education initiatives for our young members, this program empowers families to establish lasting financial security and opens the doors to brighter futures.
I am proud to say that for the 2025-2026 school year, we have awarded $ 110,000 in scholarships to 61 students. These awards are based on service in the community, academic achievements, and financial need. Meet some of our outstanding scholarship award winners on page 10. We celebrate their accomplishments and look forward to seeing the incredible impact they’ ll make in the years ahead.
Through a range of meaningful benefits, we stand by our members facing challenging times. BetterLife’ s financial assistance programs help ease the burden associated with life’ s difficulties, including serious illness, natural disasters, and the rising costs of everyday living expenses.
Another key way we give back is through our involvement in valuable community experiences – from funding quarterly meetings for member groups to sponsoring events like fundraisers, cultural festivals, potlucks, and holiday parties. These initiatives foster connection, tradition, and a strong sense of belonging. So far in 2025, BetterLife has proudly supported over 330 events across the areas we serve.
Strong communities are built by those who give generously of themselves. Our success is thanks to the dedication of our incredible volunteer community group leaders. We are deeply appreciative of your continued commitment and the passion you bring to the BetterLife mission every day.
Gratefully,
