ELKS TEENS OF THE MONTH
The ELKS Teen of the Month Program is designed to recognize outstanding young men and women for a- chievements in school and community life- in which their accomplishments are recognized and praised throughout the district and community. Here are three of the Bellefonte Area High School Teen Members:
April ' s Teen of the Month: Christian Larson is an exceptional senior who embodies the qualities of dedication, leadership, and passion. Christian has thrived in academics, extracurricular activities, and community service, and consistently excelled in his studies, maintaining an incredible GPA by taking a rigorous course load that includes honors and dual enrollment classes. Christian is also deeply engaged in his community, serving as a student representative for the Bellefonte Borough Council, which requires maturity, responsibility, and an ability to navigate local government. His leadership extends beyond the classroom and council chambers. He is a distinguished recipient of district and regional awards from the Future Business Leaders of America, in which his involvement will undoubtedly serve him well in his future endeavors.
September ' s Teen of the Month: Annie Cernuska is one of the most motivated and hard working students in our school. Annie combines natural talent with a tremendous work ethic to thrive academically. What truly distinguishes Annie, however, is her character. She embodies integrity, humility, and kindness in everything she does. Whether supporting her classmates or mentoring younger athletes, she is consistently generous with her time and talents. Her resilience, strong work ethic, and ability to remain calm under pressure make her an extraordinary young woman, capable of achieving greatness in whatever she sets her mind to.
October ' s Teen of the Month: Ava McNeal is an outstanding student who exemplifies dedication, both in and outside the classroom. She consistently maintains excellent grades and has emerged as a leader within our school community. President of Key Club, Ava has taken it to new heights, recruiting new members, launching innovative projects, and initiating a range of exciting activities. She has been instrumental in organizing impactful service projects, including decorating The Oaks for Christmas, assisting elementary schools with workshops and fairs, and fundraising for charitable organizations. Ava has also supported food and toy drives for the local food bank and Toys for Tots, contributing to our community in meaningful ways. Ava brings enthusiasm, laughter, and excitement to everything she does, inspiring others to do the same.
