 2025-2026 Theme: Assemble!
“ Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another— all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25( NIV)
The 2025-2026 school-wide theme is Assemble! Our goal this year is to intentionally foster community as a school body, an extension of the Church, and members of the Manchester community.
Thanks to the PTFA( our Parent-Teacher-Friends Association), each student and staff member is provided with a FREE theme shirt, which all staff will wear on the first day of school. If you have not yet done so, please tell us the size you would like us to order for you by CLICKING HERE, but all requests must be made by 10:00 PM on Monday, August 4. The office will do its best to guess your size after that date.
 NEW All-in-One Back-to-School Event – Monday, August 25
We are trying something new this year as we consolidate several small events into a single all-in-one event! This will allow parents with students in both buildings to come to the school for back-to-school information on just one day( instead of two nights in a row). This way, McLain students, parents, and teachers will not have to be out late the night before school begins, and elementary parents will not have to find childcare to attend their event! Additionally, rather than starting with a full assembly of parents in the sanctuary, we will set up information stations for parents to visit and collect important information about the PTFA and other information specific to their students’ grade levels.
Elementary Classroom Visits @ 4:00-5:00 PM( with a last chance from 6:00-6:30) Parents can bring their students in Preschool through Grade 5 to their classrooms to meet their teachers, see their classrooms, and drop off their school supplies.
All-School Bash @ 5:00-6:30 PM The entire school body is encouraged to join us on the CCS field for a time to connect with other families and friends. Each family will bring their own“ picnic dinner” of choice, lawn chairs, and blankets. We will have a Kona Ice truck on the premises for those who would like to make optional purchases. In the case of rain, please plan to eat on your picnic blankets in the elementary foyer and bring board games that you and your children enjoy playing together.( The Kona Ice truck will still be available, too.)
Varsity Soccer Meeting @ 6:00-6:30 PM All varsity soccer players( with at least one parent / guardian each) must attend this mandatory Varsity Soccer meeting in the McLain building.
McLain Building Classroom Visits( Grades 6-12) @ 6:30-7:15 PM Parents with their students in Grades 6-12 are encouraged to drop off school supplies and textbooks in their newly assigned lockers, meet classroom teachers, and review schedules and general procedures.
Junior & Senior Class Meetings @ 7:15-8:15 PM Important information will also be shared at the end of the evening with juniors, seniors, and their parents about guidance / college planning, the Junior-Senior Banquet, and the Senior Class Trip.
