Congratulations to Erica Sanchez for being named Person of the Year ! Erica was the complete package this year – engaging on the legislative front as one of our most prolific testifiers at the capitol , as well as leading our advocacy team in Washington DC ; Erica also wrote several articles for Trends Magazine this year and taught classes for our education department .
Erica served on a number of event committees , helping break several attendance and revenue records and is a major ambassador of the Association across social media platforms .

The AAMD Ambassadors play such an important role by welcoming new members into the organization .
Each year we honor one of our amazing Ambassadors with the prestigious title of Ambassador of the Year . Hannah not only contacted numerous new members and helped them navigate their membership , she went above and beyond by stepping up to present at the AAMD Orientations and made it a point to help other members feel comfortable at events .
