PATIENT STORY Jen has done an outstanding job as the pharmacist who works to monitor my chemotherapy regimen and make sure that I am not experiencing any of the side effects that I have endured in the past . Over the years , there have been countless times that I reached out to Jen for information regarding the medications I was taking . She has not only been able to advise me about adverse effects but has also gone out of her way to communicate with my oncologist to try different medications when others were giving me problems .
There is one specific time that I can recall in which I had been experiencing heavy coughing and difficulty breathing for several months . At the time , I reached out to my doctor who recommended I see a cardiologist and a pulmonologist .
Neither doctor could find anything wrong , so I called Jen and informed her of the situation . After conducting some research on the chemotherapy I was taking , Jen was able to find that one of the medications was likely responsible for my cough and difficulty breathing . She recommended to the oncologist that I stop that particular medication and I have had no problems with breathing since this change .
I feel that Jen went above and beyond with the research she conducted on my medications and that I owe her my life .
She is a godsend and I am very grateful for her attention to detail . Jen ’ s commitment to her patients goes above and beyond and she is a very caring person who deserves to be recognized . I could never thank Jen enough for all she has done for me over the past 2-3 years . Keep up the good work , my friend !
