Schoology Cornerstone uses Schoology ( a learning management system ) to enhance our ability to utilize technology to instruct , grade , and communicate , particularly in middle and high school . Upcoming assignments , grades , test dates , classroom handouts , etc . are made available through this portal . This tool is critical for students in Grades 6-12 throughout the year . All new students and their parents will receive information about how to access this important tool once school begins . Download the free Schoology app to automatically be alerted to communication notifications .
Sycamore Education Cornerstone uses Sycamore Education as the portal for creating and storing important documents and records , such as report cards , transcripts , student schedules , etc . All CCS parents ( of students in Pre-K through Grade 12 ) and students ( in Grades 3 and up ) have their own unique usernames and passwords to access Sycamore School . Additionally , discipline notifications are sent through Sycamore ’ s Pass-A-Note ( PAN ) feature for students in Grades 6-12 . Parents are encouraged to program their PANs to be forwarded via text or email so that they do not miss these notifications . Finally , Sycamore is used by parents to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences ( in November and April ), and to re-enroll online in the spring . Please contact the office if you need help accessing your Sycamore account .
School Messenger School Messenger is our emergency notification system , funded by the PTFA , which allows the school to make school-wide phone calls regarding school cancellations , weather-related late openings , and other types of urgent communication . It will soon be time to annually update your preferences to receive notifications through School Messenger , which can be accessed through the CCS app .
Social Media Cornerstone maintains a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram . The purpose of these accounts is to build a sense of community amongst our current families and within the greater community . Updates and reminders that are published on the school app will often also be published to Facebook . Additionally , the PTFA also maintains a Facebook Group page called “ Cornerstone Family Connection ” that allows parents to communicate with one another .
Email Communication It is our expectation that all parents will provide the school with an accurate email address for an account that will be checked regularly . CCS will typically send one school-wide email each Monday to provide basic reminders and updates that generally pertain to the full school community . Each teacher , administrator , and office staff member has an email address that uses the following pattern : first initial and last name @ contactccs . org ( i . e . tsnyder @ contactccs . org .). The main office email address is office @ contactccs . org .
External Website Cornerstone also maintains an external website at www . thecornerstonechristianschool . com , which is primarily designed for those families who are not yet a part of the school community .
