DEAD TREE REBATE
Have a dead or dying tree on your property ? There is a new rebate for using a dead or dying tree on your property . The purpose is to offset the cost of hiring a professional and maximize environmental benefits . You can earn a $ 100 rebate for one tree ( more than 32 " in diameter ) if you meet the following requirements :
• Chip the whole tree and use the raw wood chips in your yard
• Chop the tree into pieces to use as check dams , seating , walkways , or firewood
• Leave 30 ' trunk for bird habitat and feeding if the tree is not in a location that will damage property should it fall
• Rebate requires pre-approval through the usual LLA process for tree removal
• Must apply in advance to get the rebate , using the tree removal ECC application in your Member Account
• Inform your Village Manager when you apply and send a picture
