answer lies in the fact it ’ s called a “ Par 3 ”. To get a par on this hole , your ball must be in the cup on the third shot . This creates a very small margin for error if you want to get a par on that hole . The range is a perfect place to simulate par 3 tee shots so you can gain confidence on these holes on the course . Certainly , the range typically offers different flags to aim at with varying distances , but the range is full of secondary targets around the perimeter of the range for the golfer to utilize . These targets allow you to simulate just about any specific par 3 yardage you can think of . I recommend changing the yardage , club & target on every simulated shot . This kind of activity on the range is another great reason you should have a rangefinder .
