Evans Powersports Coolant is the only waterless coolant available. While it
contains the same basic chemicals found in water-based antifreeze, it performs
better as a coolant than other brands. The boiling point is 375F without
needing pressure to make that possible. By comparison, water-based antifreeze
boils at 224F without pressure
and 260F pressurized. Steam
vapor is not formed in the cooling
passages, so hot spots that cause
detonation are avoided. Evans
is not corrosive, has a low freeze
point of -40F/C, and can last the
lifetime of the vehicle. If it does
freeze, the coolant will shrink in
size so freeze-bursting is not a
risk. Evans Coolant does not conduct
enough electricity to support
electrolysis and is safe with
all metals including magnesium.
