good visual target for anglers. Fishing for tripletail is most often "sight
fishing" rather than blind casting. Casting a live shrimp or crab directly
in front of their view often results in a vigorous strike from these otherwise seemingly sluggish fish. Occasionally, good results are sometimes achieved by fishing a lure or bait deeper below the surface
alongside channel marker pilings or structure. Tripletail are considered
an excellent eating fish. The meat is sweet, white, and flakey, and is
