HAVE YOUR SAY GET YOUR ID. REGISTER NOW TO VOTE. Have your say. Shape your future. Act now to make sure that you will be able to vote in the 2011 local government elections. If you will be 18 years of age or older when the election is held, you are entitled to vote. But to do so you must be registered as a voter in the voting district where you live. And to register you need an ID book. South Africa is a country with a bright future. We have achieved much since the dawn of democracy. We have built millions of homes, and provided water and electricity, quality education and better health care. We have created more jobs, provide social grants to the poor, and created opportunities that weren’t there before. But there is much more we need to do. So be part of shaping the future. Act now to make sure that you can vote. To register to vote, you need to first have a bar-coded ID book. These are also necessary if you want to apply for government services, like social grants, housing subsidies or to register as a student.
