The Last Ever

Cocoon In The Park

SUPERCALI-FRAGILISTIC-EXPI-ALI-DOCIOUS, that'd be my word of choice if I had to choose one word to describe the last ever Cocoon In The Park, as it was exactly that. It was as if Mary Poppins herself had made an appearance, taken the artists’ USBs & record boxes and replaced them with her own. The music was that damn good! It truly was a magical affair and an experience that will live long in the memories. Renowned for its setting within the grounds of Temple Newsam Park, with its one stage at the bottom of the hill, CITP captivated its audience from start to end.

Temperatures reached an astonishing 28 degrees drawing out 10,000 revellers. Rain was predicted at some point, but the Techno Gods were out in strong force and little old Leeds was blessed with rays of sunshine beating down, only adding to the great vibes in play. The music programming, as per usual, was incredible. So when the heavens did decide to open and shower down in the middle of Sven Vath's set, very few batted an eyelid. Sights of Seth Troxler b2b with Craig Richards was immense hearing riddim after riddim being dropped. It's a shame that this was the last ever CITP, but it will for sure live in the memory.
