writing melodies. I’m so fortunate to have had the support and drive behind me from my family who spent countless hours taking me to and from rehearsals, concerts etc. All of those skills have given me a huge advantage in all areas of composing/producing.

What tips and advice do you have for aspiring producers?

Don’t be afraid to make music outside of the box, just because you're making music in a particular scene, it’s so helpful and valuable to produce music in other styles too. You learn a lot by approaching different styles of music and I find it stops the dreaded writers block coming in so often. Even if it’s just for yourself, do something different in between the more regular projects. I’ve got 4 aliases for different genres and I try and keep up with them all as best as possible alongside my regular work as a sound engineer.

Who are your musical influences?

Due to having such a varied journey through music, my influences vary from classical to bass music to house etc. One of my biggest influences on the day though is mood and where I’m at mentally. Musically speaking, I’d say some influences of mine across the board are Burial, MJ Cole, Boards of Canada, Bonobo, Philip Glass, Brian Eno and Flying Lotus.

What can we expect from you in the near future?

So, I’m dropping 2 new Dubstep singles through my management’s label ‘Sub Concentrate’. Early this year I’ve got a liquid DnB remix of one of ‘Ed Geater’s’ latest songs ‘Fluid’ which I can’t wait to get out. I’ve also got a new Dubstep EP coming out on vinyl with ‘Dub Sector’ who are based out in the states. I’ll continue to release singles regularly in between EP’s and I’m hoping to release ‘The Journey So Far Part 3’ this year too! Oh and as I mentioned earlier, I’ll be releasing at least another EP on Slime Recordings to give my 2020 releases more variety and I’m hoping to have ‘Kathleen Frances’ featuring on the lead track, she’s a really good and unique vocalist so that’s going to be exciting.

Most of my gig’s as of late have been out in the states now that I have a visa, so there's much more to come in 2020 alongside 3 shows stateside next

"ENiGMA Dubz is one of the most prolific artists in the UK right now and his hit rate is phenomenal. I began working with him on his "Right Here" remix for 4th Project back in 2017, which still remains one of my personal favourites on the label. It's been an honour to work with him this year to release two incredible EPs that really showcase his depth as a producer on top of his game, one of the many reasons why he's so in demand globally at the moment as both a DJ and producer. He's also one of the nicest guys in the industry and a pleasure to work with." Andy, Slime Recordings
