‘Bloodhound’ by Skott is a wonderfully charming and moreish song. The full spotlight is on her husky, sweet vocal tones with smooth waves of the verses and the plucky chirps at the chorus. The production is a pleasing pop piece with just the right dips and peaks to accentuate the voice. You simply cannot help smiling and singing the repeated patterns and du-du-du. I’ve been looking for an alibi. When you really take a listen, you find the sinister theme to the lyrics which is deviously conflicting to the sweetness of the track. I release the hounds.
