Witchdoctor is an emerging new talent on the UKG and Bass Music scene. Operating out of London, the DJ & Producer has been steadily carving a name out for himself in both genres, most recently with his wicked debut release on Hausmade. ‘Champagne’ kicks off proceedings with a fully feel-good vibe, staccato rhythms and good-time melodies mixing it up before the groove steps in properly. Sugar-sweet basslines and chopped vocals intersperse the track for a little ray of UKG sunshine that will put a smile on any raver’s face.
Title track ‘6AM’ takes another path entirely, with a low-slung 4X4 rhythm guiding the beat across chord washes and a rolling bassline that gives the production a full-on warehouse bumpy bubbler taste that’ll have the floor full in no time.
‘Wot U R’ mixes the best elements of both proceeding tracks into a perfect UKG concoction, saccharine melodies inter-playing tough beats to mesmerizing effect.
