'Feels So Good' by Funk D’Void is vibrant and melodic with little textural quirks. The remixes all take a different turn providing sunshine sounds, be it bright and fun or deep as the setting sun.

Hypnotic and uplifting from the start. Funk’D’void uses a classic 90’s vocal sample, one the progressive house heads will no doubt remember with affection and employs lush synths and warm bass with driving percussion to go dark to take you on an epic journey into melodic techno.

As Lars tells us; "I made the track deliberately with a melodic, hooky feel with some of my favourite old vocal samples from a couple of 90s classic house/techno records. I love putting on my rose-tinted, nostalgia shades when I’m in the studio!"

ONIT Recordings stay true to their ethos and have yet again been able to deliver another glorious glut of remixes to bolster the package: Tuff London have had an incredible 2017 and they supply a massive remix: the duo introduce an incessant, arpeggiated synth line that builds bombastically with thick strings to eventually open up into an uplifting big room monster with serious floor skills. One of their best and most mature productions to date, rather reminiscent of Four Tet’s incredible Pryda remix. Brett Gould's Remix toes the line between techno and progressive. With a rolling bassline and driving percussion, he combines stabs with a looped melodic synth hook to produce solid club banger. ONYVA’s distinctive percussive, almost tribal tech groove led remix has a refreshing if slightly crazy feel. He gets his wonk on with aplomb supplying a remix that wouldn't sound out of place at any Elrow party. Finally, ONIT’s very own Mark Holmes rolls out a beauty. He stays deep but keeps the energy levels high on his remix. By layering percussion with hooky, syncopated loops and picking out main elements from the FDV Original, he builds it all into a serious, atmospheric break creating a real moment before dropping back to do it all over again.

It’s not often that dance music producers can stay relevant and revered highly in the game for as long as Funk D’Void.(Lars Sandberg aka Francois Dubois, Chaser and his more recent project, Joyless). He DJ’s all over the world with productions and releases on Bedrock, Cocoon, Electrik Soul, Missile, Octopus, Suruba, Tronic, Tulipa and Urbantorque. An impressive discography spanning over 20 years has included remixes for New Order, Underworld, Kevin Saunderson, Deetron, Laurent Garnier, Paul Van Dyk, Steve Rachmad, Shlomi Aber, Stephan Bodzin, Ian Pooley, Technasia & Christian Smith. As well as highly acclaimed, timeless mix compilations for the Balance Series, & Cocoon.

More high quality output from ONIT Recordings, a young label with big ambitions.
