People will often judge others when they ask “How did you meet?” And that’s okay.

To me, meeting someone on a dating website is no different to meeting someone in a bar or a coffee shop.

It doesn’t matter how or where you meet someone. The fact of the matter is you have met them, they have entered your life when you least expected it and made you realise honest, nice people do exist.

I am a firm believer in fate I believe we all meet people when we aren’t looking and that’s the best way.

That person blows away any fears you once had about people, and feelings making you realise it’s okay to feel, it’s not going to ruin your life like you once thought.

It may of been in the past you’ve developed feelings for someone who didn’t appreciate how you felt at the time and that can leave you feeling quite empty, lost and often looking like a fool.

However this person does the opposite and makes you feel wanted, respected and needed - a feeling you're not used to.

My advice to anyone who has been lucky enough to find this person is to hold onto them with both hands and don’t let go because they don’t come around often.

Embrace how scary it feels and take a risk, you never know it may pay off.

You don’t want to look back in ten years time laying next to someone you settled for thinking “I wonder what that person is doing?”

Pursue what’s making you smile on a daily basis and, you never know, they may just be the one.

Carpe Diem.
