'Balance' by The Him featuring Oktavian (Solo Suspex Remix) has an alluring male voice alongside an addictive bumpy track. I love the little textural elements with flutes and high synths.
The Him has done it again! Just when you think that the tropical / melodic house sound has finally reached its creative apex, they’re back again pushing boundaries with their new release. I honestly can’t think of a better artist right now who can combine all of the different elements of house music that they do without exhausting their sound.
“Balance” features some absolutely stellar piano chords alongside an exciting bass line and what sounds like a xylophone lead – all of which just grab you from the second you press play. That said, newcomer Oktavian absolutely steals the show with some wonderful vocals. I’m honestly not too familiar with most of The Him’s previous vocalists but somehow they just keep pulling stellar singers out of thin air and Oktavian is no different.
