Southstar radio are progressing quite nicely this month, we've just received a grant from the local council to upgrade our equipment in Southstar HQ. We are now pushing ahead with our local community workshops which should be up and running in the next few months. We are really looking forward to potentially bringing through new young talent. We have just put on our timetable the talented Natalie West, an Indie musician and Carl Skalistic, a Ska/Reggae DJ - we look to incorporate more genres of music to our timetable to help bring more listeners to our station.
I believe the UK are producing some really talented music, it's good to see new talent come through. I do think there is still some negativity in certain scenes, but hopefully that will change in the coming months. My favourite track at the minute is MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You, amazing vocals and the production is spot on.
