I was pleased to get the chance to speak with UK producer Alex Adair this month. I first became aware of Alex when I ran across his track ‘Make Me Feel Better’ back in February of this year. This track is a brilliant uplifting take on the classic by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing". I loved the track from the second I pressed play, and left it on repeat. From that point on every track I have heard him remix has been on point and has added quality to the original. He is a producer that I have said from the start is one to watch. Simply superb…
So to start, can you tell us a bit about you & how you started into the music business?
I've always been around music. More classically when I was younger, playing the piano and other instruments to a high level. I've also studied music in one form or another throughout all tiers of education, which finished this year with me getting a degree in Music Technology from university. So music has always been in my life, but I only really tried to push myself and get somewhere with it when I studied at university.
I think it’s just a feel good track. Which I think most people can appreciate. The vocal hook is very catchy, the chorus is bit different to other tracks, and it’s got a summer feel to it.
