January 6 , 2020 In response to a spike in antisemitic attacks , especially against the most visible Jews , AJC designates January 6 as # JewishandProud Day — a day to wear identifiably Jewish items in a public display of solidarity . In one week , the initiative reaches over 200 million people on social media , and Jews and allies stage a seismic demonstration against antisemitism .
January 2020 Muslim World League Secretary General Dr . Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa and AJC CEO David Harris lead a groundbreaking joint visit of Muslims and Jews to Auschwitz following the memorandum of understanding signed in 2019 . Al-Issa is accompanied by a delegation of 62 Muslims , including 25 prominent religious leaders , from 28 countries . The mission represents the most senior Islamic leadership delegation to ever visit a Nazi death camp and generates global media coverage .
