Civic Center Park is located south of the Community Center and the Seyburn Mansion. The land originally belonged to real estate baron Wesson Seyburn and his wife, Winifred Dodge, eldest child of automobile pioneer John Dodge., and served as a country retreat. The estate included hunting land, dog kennels, a swimming pool, horse stables, and a 5,000-square-foot Colonial Revival house.
