One intrinsically special part of the Environment is TREES, and here in Atworth we have many many fine trees. Atworth has a Tree Warden who can receive information / advice from Wiltshire Council ' s Countryside Officer on any tree matters which are the concern of Atworth Parish Council. Any resident can ask Wilts Council ' s Rights of Way & Countryside Team on how to care for old trees, especially Ash and Chestnut, both having been prone to disease, following on from the Elms. The Countryside Officer would like to hear from you in regard to any particularly ancient Trees, to note in the County records.
