The wheel of fortune is a very curious thing. It comes and goes in an unending fashion. It is cyclical. Life is very much the same way. Looking at style, fads and fashions one can easily see that everything eventually does come back.
Living in the Mid-West as I do, there are many wonderful jewels to be found. University of Wisconsin, Steven's Point is just a few miles away. Steven's Point Wisconsin boasts a lovely historical downtown area reminiscent of days gone by. It is dotted with lovely stores, restaurants and businesses. At the end there is a little square that houses the Farmer's Market.
When I thought of the Wheel of Fortune, one of my favorite shops came to mind. It is called, Kindred Spirit Books it is located in down town on Main Street. L'Aura is the owner. This place truly is a magickal place. It is a place to wander, imagine, and be courious.
I love to read. My nose is usually in a book or in my kindle. I must admit I do like the digital age and the immediate gratification of getting my books and other digital media instantly. However that being said there is still a place for “real” paper books.
One of the things that I have really been concerned with lately is the difficulties that small businesses are having as they compete with online venues, and big box stores. I decided that was a good idea for an article. So I called L'Aura.
