I’m always surprised when someone addresses me in a way that indicates I know a lot about “technology” - I only know what I know.

I’ve noticed this is the case with so many of us…we know what we work on, what we’ve had to figure out and of course what we’ve learned from others who are “in the know”. I’m very blessed to have an absolute, genuine, certified and amazing “Geek” in my life. Bill has taken me from a Pogo game player to things I never dreamed possible on the computer! If you have someone like this in your life, take a moment and thank them for being so fantastic.

Bill gave me my first laptop-and I was sure I would never have any use for “that thing”. I had a desktop and that’s where all my games were. It’s interesting to note that I’ve upgraded considerably to a faster, meaner and leaner laptop. “That thing” turned me onto a whole new set of possibilities! One of my major issues with a lap top has always been the key board. I don’t like the way they are laid out and I don’t like the way everything is all scrunched up in such a small area. Bill did this magical trick for me…he plugged in a regular keyboard! Right into my laptop! I was so crazy in love with him at that moment! Later on when I moved my “office” downstairs he plugged in a huge monitor! Yes! Plugged it right into my laptop in the slot next to the keyboard! What has evolved over the years is the laptop being the “brain” that runs everything! Keyboards, monitors, speakers, headsets, camera cards, scanners, printers…you name it and it’s plugged into my laptop! I needed one small thing to make all of this work, a “hub”. My hub is hot pink and sports 12 slots for accessories…it’s so “banging” that it needs to be plugged into the wall to support its incredible self!
