Becoming a Positive Person

By Melinda Carver

Would you like to start being a more Positive person? Becoming a positive person will attract positive energy, events and people into your life. How do you begin? Try one or more of these:

1.Begin by smiling. Smiling at other people makes you approachable. It also makes others smile back at you.

2.Say “Thank You” and mean it! Anytime someone does a service for you, thank them. This acknowledgement is important, so many people do not thank the people in their life that help them.

3.Write a letter to the troops. Letters from home are the biggest morale boost to the men and women serving far from home. Visit USO of Northern Ohio’s site for info: www.usocleveland.org

4.Take a walk in the woods with a friend. Getting out into nature helps to rebalance your energy. Nature is beautiful—the flowers, trees and the antics of small animals can make you laugh. Breathe in all around you and feel your spirit calm down.

5.Pray or meditate. By doing so, you connect with the universe and will feel better.

6.Go to a carnival—let your inner child out! Have fun with your partner/friends—go on a ride, eat cotton candy. Bring the fun back into your life.

7.Clear the Negative Energy around You. This includes yourself, your relationships and your home. There are many ways to clear negative energy (call Melinda to help you or order her CD).

8.Go to Lake Erie. Spending a day at the beach, feeling the sand in your toes and watching the waves is a great way to calm yourself and to connect with nature.

9.Change your Body’s Energy. Get a Reiki treatment to adjust your body’s energy and to align your Chakras.

10.Donate Items. When you help the less fortunate, it makes you feel good. Women’s and homeless shelters always welcome full-size body and hair products. Purple Hearts will take gently used clothing and small appliances. Harvest for Hunger takes canned and boxed food. These shelters and organizations are listed in the local phone book.
