It may come as a surprise to some people, but I was raised as a fundamentalist Southern Baptist. Republican, no less. A Tarot deck found me when I moved into a house at the tender age of 12, and for years I struggled with whether or not the cards were “Evil,” or my gifts were “Evil,” or let’s just face it: I was “Evil.”
For those of you who didn’t attend Hellfire and Damnation Sermons every month, your relationship with the Tarot and your gifts may be much different. But even if you were not steeped in repugnant Dogma from an early age, you are probably finding it hard to swallow the current agendas going on in the World right now by different so-called religious institutions.
Before this year, I thought I had dealt with many of my own issues with the Church, church leaders, and the Hierophant. I have worked hard to overcome my upbringing and to forgive those people who I believe are spreading hate and division throughout the World.
