where it will absorb the sunlight or moonlight for at least one full day.

f your stone has been dyed, stabilized, is toxic, or is in a metal setting (or God/dess forbid! is in plastic, or some other unusual treatment that cannot be removed, such as resin, fiber or leather) do not despair, you can still use it to make your elixir. Here the key is to find two glass containers- one small enough to fit comfortably inside the other, and still leave room for plenty of water in the larger vessel. Do your cleansing with salt water- including that of your two glass containers. If your stone is dyed, painted, or affixed to something that can’t be immersed, simply wipe it gently with a soft cloth that has been slightly moistened with salt water. Do the same programming procedure as you would with the natural stones. Place it in the smaller container, just as it is, and set the small container in the larger one. Carefully pour springwater or distilled water into the larger container, without getting any in the smaller one that holds your stone(s). Cover them, and set them in your sunny window for a day or two. You may have to leave them a bit longer to achieve the desired effect, but once it’s done, your resulting elixir will have all the same benefits as if the gem(s) had been immersed, with the added assurance that if you took these recommended precautions, it will be safe to drink.

When your elixir is done, remove the stones, dry them, and put them away. Store your liquid in a clean, clear glass bottle or jar that has a lid, and drink it at will. It can be added to other beverages such as juice or tea, but don’t boil it, because that alters the vibratory attributes. Also, it’s important to not use a colored glass vessel, since that also adds it’s own attributes (they can be used in their own right to prepare elixirs attuned with the properties of the color) but it’s best to keep from mixing your influences and confusing your results, until you become more expert in these matters. Also avoid storing your elixir in lead crystal, since it has been demonstrated that small amounts of lead can leach into your preparation. This elixir can also be used to bless or consecrate ritual tools, sacred objects, or added to water used to hand rinse articles of ritual wear. It can be used in house, shop or office blessing, or in a ritual bath. It may also be used in a scrying bowl for the purposes of divination.
