Ok, now don't laugh. When I went to high school there was no such animal as a computer. I thought it was such a unique device when calculators arrived. I could actually use one of them without too much of a problem. That is until they started getting fancy and able to do all types of calculations. I preferred the plain simple one that did the basic mathematic functions, including percentages.

Next came the computer.. Yikes! I actually had a Commodore 64 and remember spending hours typing in commands in hope that eventually one could play a game on it. I also remember the hours spent going over everything typed in to see what little symbol was missed, when typing it in to begin with, causing the program not to work. I did manage to use it as a word processor with a dictionary and thesaurus standing nearby. Spell check done by the computer had not really advanced that far yet unless one had an actual word processor. I wonder if anyone even remembers the word processor that took over but not completely the typewriter. No, I never purchased one of them since I tried using one once and it simply did not like it so I said fine and left it at the store.

I have taken computer classes and really am not illiterate when it comes to using a computer but so much has happened so fast.. One must remember that as the technology increased so did my age. My son is great and one I usually end up calling on if there is a problem with my computer. I know he laughs at me but that is fine since it is more laughing with me than at me. I wonder if this may have spoiled me a little. I will have to think
