As my soul-sisters played with the cards and were touched by them, I decided to make them available to others. And so The Syzygy Oracle came into being. The word ‘syzygy (pronounced ‘scissor-gee’) was used by Jung to describe a balancing of the opposites; for astronomers, it is a term that applies to a certain alignment of the sun, moon and earth in the fullness of the cosmic dance. A perfect word, it seems, for a journey from the dark and mysterious unknown into the light of consciousness, an odyssey that takes us from ‘ego to essence’—a phrase borrowed with deep respect from Barbara Marx Hubbard.
With the dawning of the new age of Aquarius, an energy that will influence all that we are and all that we do for the next 2200 years (there’s the number 22 again) the transformation of human consciousness is well underway. We see this happening as institutions of the past are crumbling and we release ourselves from the strictures of history. With a sense of responsibility to the world, we acknowledge and celebrate that we each incarnate with specific gifts and talents. We have the potential to make the world better because of who we are and all we can become. We learn to access and activate our own authentic power as we bring the self into service of the Soul as ego and essence merge. Will a reinterpretation and interweaving of ancient wisdom teachings lead the way forward, revealing previously unrecognized treasures as clues for building a transformed global family— able to celebrate diversity and so sanctify life? How we access the wisdom of the ages in the process of discovering all that we can become is a personal choice. Is intuition the most important key to the evolving consciousness of our time? Is the relationship and interconnection of the hero’s journey, the Tarot and Tree of Life just an amusing game and pastime or a transformative tool in the evolution of consciousness, both personal and planetary? The decision is yours.
