Fast forward to today’s Topshop Unique fashion show, where Jenner sat inches from Kate Moss herself in the front row. Looking sweet and youthful, Jenner wore a navy and black Topshop coat, simple spike heels, and dewy, barely-there makeup applied by Rita Ora's makeup artist, Lucy Bridge. Besides being movie-star beautiful, Jenner was protected by no less than three bodyguards at all times. (Ms. Moss had just two.) But even with the threat of imminent danger—or worse, banishment from the must-see Topshop runway show!—we still managed to sneak in a few questions with the most-watched fashion newcomer of the season.

Hi! May we ask you a few questions for ELLE?
You can ask me whatever you want, as long as it’s about fashion!
I mean, what else would we ask about? Is there something besides fashion happening in your life that’s a big deal to the press?
[Pausing, laughing]I mean… I don’t know what you could be talking about...
Exactly! Just fashion. So. You look a little different than you did backstage at the Marc Jacobs show.
How did you get your eyebrows back to normal so quickly?
Literally right after the show, I dyed them back. I mean, I asked a makeup artist to dye them back. Fortunately, they've always been a pretty dark brown, and it was an easy color to copy with dye.
The photos of you with bleached brows are surreal…
It was so odd to look at myself in the mirror, like, “Are these real?” But I can promise you, they were completely bleached and completely real. It took a few minutes for them to do it backstage—not a long time, but it did feel like a major change for me.
What’s better, being on the runway or being in the front row?
They’re both pretty good! But now that I’ve done a major show like that, I have a really new appreciation for models on the runway. And when I sit front row now, I understand all the hard work that happens a little bit better. But I’m really excited to be here for Topshop because I lovetheir clothing, and I think it’s going to be an amazing show. I’m wearing Topshop today, obviously, but the thing is, I would wear it no matter what. Even if I wasn’t here!
You seem to be without your signature nail art. What will your Instagram fans say?!
I know. They had to take off the polish for the Marc Jacobs show and I haven’t had time yet to redo them! I feel like most models can’t have polish during the runway season though, because you change it every time you do a show.
