Herbal farming and manufacturing update

PPC Herbs has never been busier and the variety of Herbs and Fruits that come through our warehouse door is always interesting .
In the last few weeks , we received a fresh crop of Centipeda cuninghamii or Old Man Weed from up on the Murray River . This Australian Native grows wild there . The crop flourished after the December floods , and this is the best quality crop we have received . The extract of Old Man Weed can be used topically as an Antiinflammatory for calming inflammatory skin conditions like acne , rosacea , psoriasis , or to soothe cuts and abrasions Anti-microbial ( antiseptic ) reducing risk of infection in healing cuts , abrasions , and skin conditions .
We had a batch of Fresh Organic Turmeric to process for a contract customer , another outstanding crop with amazing colour . Paw Paw fruit is fermenting away and keeps us busy 7 days a week as we come in of the weekends to stir the vats . Working weekend is nothing strange to us . Our percolators continue to pump slowly 24 hours a day , 7 days a week . We usually drop in to check all is running smoothly . plant based liquid medicine PPC is here to make it happen .
Farming
By May the last of the root crops are being harvested and converted into Fresh Plant Tinctures . Recent deliveries include Astragalus , Burdock , Dandelion , Elecampane , Horse Radish , Marshmallow , Valerian , Withania , Yellow Dock and Yellow Gentian .
The winter months allow time for equipment maintenance and some repairs and maintenance to buildings . Ronald even put a new roof on the house in March .

Large deliveries of Valerian , Dandelion root and California Poppy came in from Europe this week . They were logged in and sampled quickly . After their ID and other testing is completed , they will be the next herbs in the percolators .
