PRACTITIONER VOICE
self-conscious in public . He had a stare in his eyes – ‘ wide-eyed ’ you might say – with a look as though he was waiting for something to happen and must be vigilant .
Here is my analysis : while night terrors can be a symptom of intestinal worms , there was no evidence , nor confirming symptoms , that this was Ryan ’ s problem . I recognised Ryan as one of the ‘ copper children ’ and requested pathology tests to demonstrate this to his parents . His Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis report showed his tissue copper was 66 mg % ( whereas normal level is 3mg % !). This was a clear case of copper toxicity . It was the highest copper level I have seen in a child in 30 years !
We also started Ryan with our copper chelation treatment . Treatment using this method can afford rapid improvement to the patient without relapse . You can see gentle improvement in symptoms which continue right through the treatment without any adverse side effects .
To remove such a high level of copper takes one to two years . This does not matter , because the child remains well for that whole time . His symptoms were constantly improving thanks to the medicine .
Ryan ’ s improvement was immediate on this treatment : perfect sleep , no anxiety , good concentration , less social phobia . I kept Ryan on this treatment for 18 months . Experience has told me if I withdraw remedies before all the copper is gone , then a relapse will occur .

Case Study Fred , male , age 3 , ADHD
Once again , the mother of this three-year old used the phrase ‘ Jekyll and Hyde ’, a term which I often hear used by parents of ‘ Copper children ’. But it was Fred who earned the prize as the most ‘ Jekyll and Hyde ’ character whom I had ever met .
This beautiful , angelic little boy with blue eyes and blonde curls was affectionate and loving , until Mr Hyde suddenly appeared . There was no warning , nor any apparent reason for his appearance . He became a destructive monster , smashing windows , kicking holes in walls , or biting his two older brothers . On a Mr Hyde day , he would often wake early and start asking for something . He would not stop nagging until he got what he wanted , but kept going all day , as though he could not get the thought out of his head . If he does not get it , Mr Hyde eventually appeared . Yet other times there was no warning and no reason for the sudden appearance . In his frustration he could scratch or bite himself as well .
As with Ryan , Fred took at least two hours to fall asleep . He was restless and could not sit still for long .
Once these tirades of violence ended , Fred could be oblivious of them : ‘ What hole ? I didn ’ t make a hole in the wall ’, he would say , after destroying the wall . At other times he would apologise profusely for his behaviour , as though indeed he had been taken over by some malevolent force . When in the supermarket or the park , aggressive behaviour sometimes went with him . However , at school he could mostly keep a lid on his behaviour .
