Herbal farming and manufacturing update

PPC Herbs manufacturers many products on a contract basis . This month we have been working with an extract of a unique mushroom , Lions Mane ( Hericium species ). These mushrooms were grown in Australia and processed fresh . The properties of these mushrooms improve focus and memory and support stressed individuals .
Herbal extracts remain in high demand and PPC has worked hard to ensure great stock holdings across our range of Traditional extracts and Fresh Plant Tinctures .
We have been working on some of our lower volume herbs this week including White Willow Bark , Gentian Root , Thuja Herb and White Horehound Herb . We have also processed large volumes of Gotu Kola herb , Saw Palmetto Berries , Withania / Ashwagandha Root , Turmeric Root , Liquorice Root , St Marys Thistle seed and Chamomile Flowers .
Farming
In Tasmania , Ronald and Marleen have completed the harvest of all root crops and are busy propagating for the spring . They have a great green house for starting cuttings , sprouting seedlings and it makes a comfortable space to work in the cold Tasmanian winter .
They have been bagging up Fennel seed for storage , stock taking the Fresh Plant Tinctures and planning for the new season . We have invested in significant increases in our stock holdings in Melbourne and the appreciation of these Fresh Organic Australian grown plant tinctures continues to expand . Our most expensive herbal raw material is Arnica Flowers , and our new delivery is not too far away . This is out of Ukraine and the surrounding countries and supply has been constrained . Arnica is traditionally processed as a 1:5 extract and used in both listed and cosmetic topical products for bruising and sprains .
Our new delivery of Fresh Finger Lime ( Citrus australasica ) was also processed this week . It ’ s another product that can be smelt throughout the building during processing . Unlike our Garlic or Valerian , it ’ s pleasant , fresh , and fruity . We sell most of this extract into the cosmetic market .
