where lockdown provisions mean that first aid training cannot be completed .
On each such occasion , ATMS is obliged to closely record and track those who receive an extension . Once the lockdown provisions change and first aid training can be done , then it will need to be completed .
Our advice to members who are facing the expiry of first aid is to communicate and preferably book with a first aid training provider , and to then complete the training at the first available opportunity after lockdown restrictions ease . Evidence of a booking for the training will greatly assist in any compliance audits with health funds .
For any assistance with your first aid certificate when faced with lockdown restrictions , the ATMS team is available to contact on 1800 456 855 or info @ atms . com . au .
CPE The ATMS CPE program continues to be affected by lockdown restrictions for seminars . When obliged to do so , we have had to reschedule planned in person events and offer alternatives for those who have booked . We extend our apologies for the changes that are outside out control and offer our thanks for your patience when we have had to adjust our schedules .
Our webinar program continues , and we have been thrilled with the record numbers accessing on-line education . In many ways it looks like we have all made a sustained transition to innovative , costeffective and easily accessible on-line learning !
We continue to look for creative ways to assist members with free of charge access to CPE opportunities . We have packaged several opportunities for locked-down States and Territories to access recordings , all allowing valuable learning and free of charge CPE points . Throughout this year we will continue to look for more of these opportunities and share them with members .
On behalf of the staff team at ATMS , I extend best wishes to all members , and we look forward to being of assistance wherever we can in these challenging times .

Vitalism

The concept of vitalism has existed for centuries and has evolved in many different schools of thought . According to classical vitalists , living organisms are fundamentally different from non-living entities because they possess a force or energy beyond their physical properties . The aim of this special issue is to present current thinking about vitalism in natural medicine practice .
