In this issue , I would like to commemorate the majority femaleled team here at Atlas Insurance . We recognize that highperforming companies often have more women in leadership roles . In our own company , having a female-dominant leadership team has improved our ability to bring forward diversity of ideas , provide excellent mentors for the rest of our team , and build the foundation of trust you depend on .
Our strong female leaders include Executive Vice President of Sales and Retention Carol Davis who directs the Commercial Lines , AOAO , Surety , and Captive practices throughout the state . Carol has over 28 years of insurance experience and serves some of Hawaii ’ s largest nonprofit organizations . Executive Vice President of Operations Tricia Miyashiro , who brings 23 years of experience in the insurance industry , leads the Commercial Operations and Technology sector . In addition to her role with Atlas , Tricia is a board member with several associations , including the National Association of Women in Construction and former president of the Hawaii Surety Association ( 2006 – 2013 ).
Senior Vice President of Operations Sharon Hodson is a 40-year industry veteran , a certified Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter , and a Property and Casualty Insurance Producer . She works with commercial lines managers to facilitate the placement of insurance policies and oversees the development of our talented new hires .
Completing our team of female Vice Presidents are Vice President of Personal Lines Sharilyn Tanaka , Vice President of Benefit Consulting Kim Soares , Vice President of Commercial Lines Operations Kari Yamada , Vice President of Commercial Lines Operations Cindy Miral , and Vice President of Special Projects Dana Tokioka .
