ANNUAL KICK-OFF EVENT
Annually, we hold a company-wide kick-off event meant to
inspire staff as we chart a course to tackling another year
as Hawaii’s largest insurance agency. This year’s focus was
strengthening the power of One Atlas and learning how
to achieve more together. We surprised the entire staff
with an art project where each staff member took part in
painting a single section of our 120-piece Koi fish painting.
WHAT’S GOING ON AT

ATLAS SERVICE AWARDS KAPIOLANI HOSPITAL PARTY
In our 2018 first-quarter staff meeting,
we were very proud to recognize twelve
individuals for their years of service to
Atlas and our clients. Two individuals
in particular have given thirty-five
and forty years to the company! We
appreciate their years of service, and
it is these types of individuals whose
commitment to Atlas makes us one of
Hawaii’s Best Places to Work for ten
years running! Every year, we collaborate with our sister companies—Island Insurance, PACXA, Tradewind
Capital Group, and IC International —to plan an amazing Halloween Party for the children
of Kapiolani Hospital. We host the games section, which included Halloween Hoops, Boo-
bowling, and Halloween Toss.
EGG-CITING EASTER!
This year, the Office Activities Committee
coordinated an Easter egg decorating contest!
Quite a few people showed some “eggfort,” and they
also enjoyed chips and a variety of dips to go with
it! While the Easter egg decorating competition
allowed our creative sides to shine, it was the Easter
Bunnies (Myles Murakami and Keane Muranaka)
that added such joy to our day!

BEST PLACES TO WORK EVENT
This year’s event was extra special for
Atlas as it marks our tenth consecutive
year of making Hawaii’s Best Places to
Work list, which allowed us to achieve
gold status and to be inducted into
Hawaii’s Best Places to Work Hall of
Fame. We bought two tables for the
event, with staff from different parts
of the company coming together to
celebrate this wonderful achievement.
Our annual holiday party is a fun way to blow off some steam and end the year on a high
note! The Office Activities Committee decided on an “Around the World” theme that was
highlighted by dressing up as your favorite tourist or in your best cultural attire. From start
to finish, it was a joyous time, complete with a delicious lunch buffet, costume contest, and
live entertainment by Da Braddahs!
SWEET CREAMS
We invited Sweet Creams down to our office to help
us celebrate the completion of the third phase in our
transition to a new agency management system. The
sweet treats are meant to thank our staff for their
hard work and determination in learning the new
system … and it was sure delicious! What a sweet
treat and break in the middle of the afternoon!
